Mediaset España's next great comedy, 'Serrines, actor's wood', will premiere directly on Prime Video

'Sawdust, actor's wood', comedy by Mediaset Spain made in collaboration with Mandarina Productions and developed by Mediterranean Mediaset Spain Group, will premiere exclusively in early 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.

Sawdust, actor's wood, which has been presented in the South International Series Festival, addresses the story of Serrines, a performer who, when he is about to star in the reboot from the series with which he became known (The Bacons), decides to cancel the project and give a new focus to his career, launching into the search for transcendental roles that can catapult him to the Olympus of acting. "However, an unexpected circumstance will force him to put aside his ambitions and participate in advertising campaigns for second-rate products, among other jobs, to continue surviving," the synopsis of the project states.

The new fiction will star Antonio Resines, who will be accompanied by a complete cast con profesionales como Jorge Sanz, Lucía de la Fuente, Marta Flich, Luis Bermejo, Teté Delgado, Jaime Pujol, María Morales, Ginés García Millán, Carmen Ruiz, Canco Rodríguez, Jesús Castejón, Mar Abascal y Ana Morgade, entre otros.

The initiative of Mediaset Spain con Mandarina Productions y Mediterranean estará compuesta por eight episodes dirigidos por Jaime Botella (Ladies of the (h)AMPA, six sisters) y nace de una idea original de David Cavanilles y Ángel Cañas. Carlos Cebrian, in charge of A perfect story, True Story España o Sin Novedad, ha estado al frente de la dirección de fotografía.
