Lethal Crysis in 'Destination Antarctica'

On board the Hespérides Ocean Boat RTVE Play is recording his next travel and adventure documentary series in Antarctica: 'Destino Antarctica', which, with the help of the youtuber Lethal Crysis, will show the importance of this territory through the eyes and experiences of the few Spaniards who live there in extreme conditions.

The documentary series will premiere this year on the free platform, but you can now follow the adventure and some anecdotes from the filming on the account. Instagram de RTVE Play.

For a week, the RTVE Play team, under the direction of Angela Gallardo, will be aboard the Hespérides, capable of crossing waters full of icebergs and 10-meter waves and at the same time being a true floating laboratory.

Lethal Crysis, an adventure travel YouTuber with almost five million subscribers on his channel, will go into every corner of the ship (cabines, engine room, command post, laboratories, kitchen and even a gym). Through these interviews, the personal stories of the passengers and crew will be known, the most important projects, their objectives, the meaning of Antarctica and what coexistence is like on board this very special cruise.

The documentary series will also provide insight into what life is like in Antarctica, the most unexplored and wild territory that exists. Lethal Cryisis will interview and share the adventure with soldiers, scientists and mountain technicians who live in a few meters for weeks isolated and surrounded by this wonderful, and at the same time dangerous, natural setting of volcanic slopes, beaches, glaciers, lakes and penguins.

Some 28 scientific projects participate in the Spanish Antarctic campaign. Lethal Crysis will accompany some of them through the most unique and inaccessible places to understand the enormous importance of Antarctica as a sentinel of climate change.
