The facilities of Globo TV in Rio de Janeiro have introduced a state-of-the-art IP video production setup Grass Valley, significantly improving the studio that houses the iconic 'Big Brother Brazil' (BBB).

In its 24th season, Big Brother Brazil, a reality television phenomenon, brings together a diverse group of individuals to live isolated from the world in the house of Big Brother under constant surveillance for 100 days. The program thrives on audience participation, and the final contestant avoids expulsion to win a substantial cash prize.

This comprehensive upgrade migrates from traditional SDI infrastructure to native IP production tools Grass Valley, including Grass Valley AMPP, providing a production deployment based on microservices on premises, housed in AMPP Edge COTS. The review incorporates two mixers y three control panels de Grass Valley, GV Orbit orchestration, multipantallas IP de GV y pasarelas IP UCP along with third-party network switches. The system was installed in two technical centers using a spine and leaf topology.

Grass Valley and Globo embarked on a strategic partnership in 2022, focused on the transition of Globo's live television and media operations to IP and software-based solutions. Globo's improvement prioritizes a on-premise solution enhanced with AMPP. The hybrid architecture on premises and in the cloud The platform, which combines hardware and software offerings in a single solution, has allowed Globo to benefit from unmatched flexibility and scalability compared to traditional offerings, supporting Globo in both its current and future requirements.
