Blackmagic Cloud is updated to offer more collaborative possibilities and improve metadata management
A new clip thumbnail view, metadata panel, and the ability to invite anyone to a presentation via URL are the latest improvements to Blackmagic Cloud.
Blackmagic Cloud It allows you to share DaVinci Resolve content with professionals around the world, so you can collaborate with the best editors, colorists, VFX artists and sound engineers. The solution is not only integrated into DaVinci Resolve, but also on most Blackmagic Design cameras, as well as the free app Blackmagic Camera for iPhone and Android phones.
Among the latest developments from Blackmagic Cloud, an “innovative” one stands out clip view that can be selected in the upper right corner of the window, which allows you to view the multimedia files in the form of miniature. When you return to list mode, the icons reflect the contents of the clips. While most of the files have already been converted to thumbnails, some of them are still being processed, so this process will be completed in the next few days.
Another novelty is the new panel for metadata on the right side of the application window Storage. By clicking on the information icon in the upper right corner, it is possible to open a tab to view the metadata of the selected clip. You can also move the pointer over the images, which makes it easy to select clips in list mode.
In addition, Blackmagic Cloud Presentations Now you can invite clients to a presentation using a URL. Simply copy and paste it into an email and then send it to the person who is not part of the platform, allowing you to quickly share a presentation with a client for easy collaboration and even have a group conversation with them.
Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, appreciates the latest improvements to Blackmagic Cloud: "Since the launch of Blackmagic Cloud, we have continued to update and add new features to make collaboration even easier among our users globally. We have received positive feedback, and we are excited to be able to provide the ability to view clip content in thumbnails, check their metadata, and review them with customers who are not Blackmagic Cloud members using a simple URL."
