Narinder Ball will assume the technological direction of EMG/Gravity Media starting in February

EMG / Gravity Media has appointed Narinder Ball as Chief Technology Officer. In his role, which he will assume starting in February, Narinder will be responsible for overseeing the company's technology strategy, driving innovation and leading its technical teams.

Narinder Ball brings over 25 years of experience in the technology sector, having previously held a number of senior roles at the BBC, where he was instrumental in leading the technical aspects of many of the world's leading sporting events, including Wimbledon, the FA Cup and the London Marathon, to name a few. He also oversaw complex workflows for major events such as the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

They are extensive experience in remote production workflows, broadcast infrastructure, connectivity solutions and an appreciation of changing consumer trends, along with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, will play a critical role in advancing EMG/Gravity Media's technological capabilities.

As Chief Technology Officer, Narinder will focus on boost technological innovation within the broadcast and production landscape, including advancing content distribution platforms, optimizing media workflows, and expanding infrastructure to support high-demand streaming and production environments. Additionally, you will lead initiatives to improve cybersecurity measures, ensuring the protection of sensitive content and data and exploring new technologies to improve audience engagement, content personalization and the overall viewer experience.
