DPA Microphones acquires Austrian Audio, specialized in large diaphragm microphones
Austrian Audio, a company founded in 2017 by former AKG Vienna employees, has been acquired by DPA Microphones, maintaining its identity in the process and strengthening relationships in engineering and business.
Austrian Audio caught the attention of DPA Microphones for his rapid growth, its highly qualified team of engineers and his product portfolio, specialized in large microphones diaphragm and headphones that “perfectly complement the DPA offer.” Together, the brands will be able to offer, in the words of DPA, products to the “most demanding” sound engineers in sectors such as broadcast, music, theater, live events and recording studios.
Kalle Hvidt Nielsen, CEO of DPA Microphones, says he feels “delighted” to join forces with such a “solid” team of professionals: "I know that together we can offer increasingly innovative products and further improve service for our customers, which will take both brands to new heights. It is impressive to see what Austrian Audio has already achieved in its short life, and we are delighted to welcome such a capable partner to the family."
On the part of Austrian Audio, its founder and CEO Martin Seidl, tells the intrahistory of the acquisition: "Kalle first approached me at an industry event involving both of our brands, and I was delighted. To be recognized as a strong and influential brand after only four years in the market was a great honor for Austrian Audio and for me personally. It is fantastic to have been selected to join forces with such an experienced and world-renowned partner. I look forward to seeing what lies ahead for both brands, which are now uniquely positioned to serve the pro audio industry with exciting innovations."
In collaboration with DPA Microphones, Austrian Audio will continue developing and manufacturing high quality audio products bajo su propio nombre en Viena.
