FilmLight launches Remote, its solution to provide collaborative and remote grading flows

Remote, development FilmLight which allows post-production houses and colorists to work remotely without sacrificing high-quality, low-latency monitoring, leaves its beta phase and is now available to all users as part of Baselight 6.0.

FilmLight Remote allows you to integrate a control surface FilmLight, user interface monitors, mouse and keyboard with professional monitoring over the Internet. For this, Baselight o Daylight can run the systems HP I love o Amazon DCV to provide the remote end with multiple UI monitors up to 4K. At the same time, the workflow is completed with a video connection SRT to provide a high-quality video stream (compatible with JPEG-XS y H265) to the remote system, where the FilmLight desk service can also provide support for Slate, Blackboard Classic, or Blackboard 2 control panels.

Remote also supports the growing interest of professionals in hosting off-site equipment, whether in a data center or in the cloud. To address this area, a system can be used thin-client to stream the user interface from the Baselight or Daylight system and manage control surfaces. The video stream is received by thin-client or the FilmLight Remote server, which can be used to receive up to 4 UltraHD video streams, converting them to SDI to interface with existing SDI routing infrastructure. In this way, FilmLight Remote also offers the possibility of work from home or other remote locations, without the need for additional hardware encoders or decoders.
