DirectOut

Module-linked license upgrade means that licenses can be installed on multiple host devices and will be automatically activated only when the licensed RAV.SRC.IO or RAV.IO module is inserted. This increases flexibility and performance on Ravenna, being able to maximize physical limits, while saving budget for increasing demands.

He SRC HD DirectOut is also available on the RAV.SRC.IO board, ensuring seamless operation across clock limits, maintaining signal integrity with just one millisecond of latency.

Another addition to the DirectOut licenses is the NMOS OOB service. For many years, the RAV.IO and RAV.SRC.IO modules have supported the IS-04 and IS-05 NMOS standards for device discovery, registration, and stream attachment. To the add NMOS OOB license to Prodigy or MAVEN.A, additional access is granted to the NMOS stack through the host device's management network interface. This allows the system designer to integrate node discovery and flow configuration into a control network independent of the media network.

Following its launch at ISE earlier this year, DirectOut will also present the DNA modules in Las Vegas. These modules improve the flexibility and interoperability from the Prodigy and MAVEN ranges with a variety of protocol options including Dante, Milan, Ravenna and SoundGrid. Each module can double network capacity or perform seamless conversion between network protocols. The modules DANTE.DANTE They offer two interfaces with 64 channels each, which allows you to have two isolated networks or duplicate a single network to 128 channels, while the module DANTE.RAV.SCR.IO can perform a seamless conversion between Dante and Ravenna networks. This functionality applies to the entire range of modules that offer bidirectional sample rate conversion as standard.

Claudio Becker-Foss, chief technology officer at DirectOut, is excited about the possibilities. “Our Ravenna implementation is based on more than 10 years of development," he says. "This latest functionality is especially interesting in combination with DirectOut's Prodigy.MX, as it unleashes the full power of the large routing matrix it contains.”
