Brainstorm - IBC 2025 - stand

One of the strong dishes of Brainstorm At this IBC 2025 there are public demonstrations of Suite 6.2, presented at NAB 2025, the latest version of InfinitySet, Aston and eStudio. The demo, which recreates a weather program with augmented reality (AR) and real-time virtual production, is generated with InfinitySet using Unreal Engine 5.

The demo includes advanced features such as management of multiple scenarios simultaneously, presenter teleportation y hyper-realistic AR graphics with advanced rendering technologies such as gaussian splatters.

At the stand (7C.39) we can see a hybrid workflow that integrates real sets and virtual environments using a volume LED Modularpix Pro de Alfalite. The configuration uses the new generation of EOS C500 Mark II cameras of Canon y CN-E Cinema Prime objectives mounted on robotic motion control systems BOX / IO.BOT of XD Motion, leader in aerial filming and multidimensional tracking solutions. This collaboration features a fully remote-controlled production environment, ideal for scenarios with limited space or personnel.

Native support for Canon Virtual Production System (CVPS)

Brainstorm's virtual production product line, led by InfinitySet, is now fully compatible with Canon's own CV metadata via CV Protocol. This allows InfinitySet receive accurate native data of lens and camera parameters at all times, in real time, together with the video signal, without the need for a prior calibration process. To achieve this compatibility, Brainstorm has collaborated closely with Canon, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free user experience.

Canon CV metadata technology is fully compatible with OpenCV software library, and includes high-impact proprietary extensions designed to improve performance and flexibility. As a contributor to the initiative RIS OSVP of SMPTE, Canon guarantees a Robust interoperability with the latest virtual production standards. The protocol transmits the CV metadata, embedded in a highly readable JSON format, directly to InfinitySet, which performs adjustment of the virtual scene according to the camera and lens parameters.

This integration is a significant advance for virtual production systems, as it allows the immediate calibration of CVPS-compatible Canon cameras and lenses within the Brainstorm virtual production ecosystem. Virtual content creators know that precise calibration of all the technologies involved in setup is essential, and this integration allows creatives to focus on shooting, compositing and other adjustments, saving time and producing more precise results.

The system is compatible with zoom and prime lenses, and precise linking of lens and camera data (including lens distortion map if necessary) makes it easy to integrate live or recorded footage with the background and other synthetic objects in the scene. Even when a crop frame setting is applied, lens and camera data automatically takes this into account, allowing settings to be easily changed within the same scene without losing consistency or compositional accuracy.

No limits on rendering

This demonstration also highlights the Processing capacity and optimization of InfinitySet software. Thanks to dual GPU support and Blackwell architecture NvidiaRecently certified, a single workstation can handle complex virtual production tasks, spanning LED and chroma key arrays, multiple camera inputs, and real-time AR graphics. Key features such as additional rendering, 3D LUT-based real set extension, and immersive talent teleportation will be on full display, emphasizing performance, scalability, and ease of use.

Given the crucial role of graphics in television workflows, Brainstorm will showcase the capabilities of Aston in augmented reality graphics in context based on external data and collaborative and multi-channel workflows. One of the main novelties is Instances, a smart resource system that allows designers to optimize the creation of templates and graphics by altering these resources centrally. These graphics can be embedded in immersive virtual environments, including Unreal Engine scenes, allowing for seamless interaction with both the talent and the virtual set.

For the creation of immersive presentations of any type for corporate and educational environments, Edison will showcase the latest developments in the ecosystem Edison, including EdisonGO, a custom capture environment that delivers video and tracking information from an iPad, and Edison OnCloud, a subscription-based web service that allows any user to create immersive presentations in the cloud.

David Alexander, Chief Commercial Officer at Brainstorm, comments: "We are delighted to return to IBC and highlight the powerful capabilities our products bring to content creators. As virtual production continues to expand in the broadcast, film and corporate sectors, Brainstorm's decades of experience in real-time 3D graphics ensures that our clients can maintain their competitive advantage."

Joining forces with Brompton, Alfalite and Zeiss

This high-end workflow includes virtual production and graphics solution 3D Brainstorm InfinitySet, los Brompton Tessera LED processors, the volume LED Alfalite FinePix and the Zeiss CinCraft Scenario camera tracking.

In these demonstrations, visitors can see firsthand the possibilities in creating virtual content, starting with multiple frame rate capture using Zeiss markerless tracking. Tracking is introduced in InfinitySet to create the virtual environment, rendered with Brainstorm's proprietary engine in combination with Unreal Engine. The final result is displayed on the Alfalite LED volume, powered by Brompton Card, in direct connection with Brainstorm.

Miguel Churruca, Director of Marketing and Communications at Brainstorm, says: "Brainstorm collaborates with dozens of companies around the world on a wide variety of workflows. Although we have long collaborated with Alfalite, Brompton and Zeiss, this is the first time that the four companies will jointly demonstrate the possibilities of our technologies at a trade show. At IBC 2025, customers can experience the incredible possibilities that our solutions offer for virtual content production."

Rob Fowler, business development director at Brompton Technology, says: "We believe Brompton has a lot to offer the broadcast market, and over the last 24 months we have made steady progress to increase our market share. We have successfully worked with partners from China to the Americas, but here at IBC Europe we wanted to highlight the depth of engineering excellence and manufacturing talent on our home continent. It is incredibly exciting to be collaborating with Brainstorm, Alfalite and Zeiss to deliver this fantastic technology demonstration."

“We are proud to be part of this all-European exhibition together with Brainstorm, Brompton and Zeiss,” he says. Luis Garrido, CEO of Alfalite. "Our LED displays are at the core of the installation, providing the image quality, reliability and versatility required for the most demanding virtual production environments. It also reflects our mission to give professionals the confidence that their productions are supported by technology made in Europe and built to the highest standards."

“We are excited to show what the combined workflow of our CinCraft Scenario camera tracking solution and technologies from Brompton, Brainstorm and Alfalite can do in the virtual production space,” he adds. Jacques Bouley, director of film sales for EMEA at Zeiss.

This collaboration highlights the power and possibilities of European companies to produce cutting-edge technology for the most advanced audiovisual production, from real-time graphics and virtual sets to LED-based workflows, for virtual production and visualization purposes. These technologies already allow the daily creation of high-end content for film, television, live events and corporate content.
