HBO Max trusts Evafilms to lead the serial adaptation of 'Infamy'

Filming begins on 'Infamia', an adaptation of the literary success of the same name by Ledicia Costas that will take the form of a six-episode series produced by Evafilms and will be seen through the platform HBO Max.

Different locations in the Basque Country and Madrid host the filming of a thriller whose cast is made up of the Goya nominee Susana Abaitua (A ghost in battle, Homeland), Jorge Bosch (Everyone lies, Quotes), Jon Olivares (Homeland, Dr. García's patients), Ane Gabarain (20,000 species of bees, Homeland), Iñigo Gastes (Singular, The infiltrator), Iñigo Azpitarte (Karmele, The infiltrator), Eva Llorach (Doctor García's patients, who will sing to you), Asier Oruesagasti (The Last Romantics, There's Something in the Woods), the Goya nominee Candido Uranga (Maspalomas, El Internado: Las Cumbres), and the special collaboration of Luis Gnecco (The machine, Neruda).

Infamy, produced by Evafilms, has an outstanding creative team led by directors Agustina Macri (Miss Carbon, Soledad) and Beatriz Sanchís (Nacho, That One). Also notable, in charge of the soundtrack, is the musician Atitor Etxebarria (Fury, The body on fire) and assembly Vicky Lammers (City without a dream, The infiltrator), also nominated for a Goya this year in its category.

The filming, which also has the participation of EiTB, will divide its recordings between Madrid and the imposing natural landscapes of Vizcaya. The series will deploy its visual universe in iconic enclaves such as the Gorbeia Natural Park, the Itxina massif, the Urkiola Natural Park, the Enkarterri region, the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and the spectacular Barrika Flysch, as well as in the towns of Orozko, Areatza and Trucios-Turtzioz. These scenarios will give life to Ura, the fictional town where the plot takes place. A place deeply linked to the land that not only frames the story, but also becomes a fundamental character in the story.

This is the synopsis of Infamy, a thriller that, according to its producer, Eva Cebrián of Evafilms, will provide viewers with a vibrant thriller full of "mystery and emotion" that will explore the "human conflicts behind the suspense": "Emma Cruz (Susana Abaitua) is a tenacious lawyer in the midst of an existential crisis who becomes obsessed with an unsolved case: the mysterious disappearance of two girls twenty years ago. What begins as professional curiosity soon turns into a dangerous fixation, fueled by her own trauma: the tragic death of her sister when they were children, a loss for which she has always felt guilty. In her efforts to unearth unspeakable secrets, hidden under the suffocating and claustrophobic façade of the town, Emma will have to face her worst ghosts. Her tireless search will place her in the target of those who are willing to do anything to ensure that the truth never comes to light.
