MultiDyne presents an ambitious roadmap in celebration of its 50 years of experience
NAB 2026 (April 19-22) will host the first of the 50th anniversary celebrations of MultiDyne, a company whose first development was born from a “basement” and that faces its five decades of life with ambitious expansion plans and an eye on the potential of IP solutions.
Founded in 1976 by Vincent Jachetta, an Italian immigrant and engineer of the NBC, the story of MultiDyne began with a single revolutionary product developed in the family basement: the TS-1, the “broadcast industry's first portable test signal generator.” That invention not only launched the company, but also earned MultiDyne its first Emmy award and established a righteous philosophy that continues today: identifying real-world challenges and designing precise solutions.
Since then, MultiDyne has grown from a small family business to a global provider of fiber optic transport solutions, signal processing and live production. Throughout its history, the company has achieved important milestones, including two Emmy Awards to technological innovation, strategic company acquisitions and significant international growth with the opening of its European office in 2023.
Frank Jachetta, CEO of MultiDyne: "From the beginning, our DNA has been about finding a problem and solving it. That mentality has taken us from a startup in a basement to where we are today, and continues to guide our path into the future."
An ambitious future that will begin to be drawn at NAB 2026
In recent years, MultiDyne has experienced its period of greatest growth, achieving record results while expanding its operational infrastructure, engineering resources and product portfolio. This momentum has been fueled by growing demand in live production environments spanning the broadcast, digital cinema and ProAV markets.
The company's expansion beyond North America has been a key factor in this success. With a European office established in Poland and an expanding global network of partners, MultiDyne has strengthened its ability to support customers around the world. Now, the company sets its sights on Asia-Pacific as your next big growth region.
"It is no coincidence that companies do their best on their own turf. As we expand globally, we are creating new turf. We are building local presence, support and relationships in regions like Europe and Asia to better serve our customers," he remarks. Jachetta.
Looking to the future, MultiDyne is investing in areas such as IP-based workflows, video compression, cloud integration and software-based solutions. This expanding field expands its core mission of transporting high-quality video wherever it is needed. As Jachetta explains: "As the industry evolves, so do we. We continue to solve the same fundamental challenge of moving video from point A to point B, but we do it on more platforms, more markets and more regions than ever."
