Telestream が Encoding.com を買収してクラウド ビデオを掘り下げる

Encoding.com, a cloud-based media processing platform used by media, streaming services, broadcasters and corporate video customers around the world, has been acquired by テレストリーム。

The purchase of the cloud-first company will enable テレストリーム to deepen its cloud services offering with tools such as Ludicrous ultra-fast processing and a selection of protection services. The entire Encoding.com team will be integrated into テレストリーム, while its directors, Gregg Heil (founder and CEO) and Jeff Malkin (president), will take on leadership roles in the Telestream cloud area.

Heil himself values the acquisition: “Telestream has an excellent track record when it comes to strategic acquisitions that truly benefit their customers and unite teams in a singular mission to bring the best possible solutions to market. The combined engineering organizations will enable the acceleration of new features and services to support continued migration to the cloud by businesses seeking the advantages of parallel processing, elasticity and scale afforded by cloud infrastructure.”

Finally, Telestream has confirmed that Encoding.com customers will continue to be supported and can expect “to have access to a broader set of capabilities and options in the future.”
