ブラックマジックカメラ version 1.3 introduces new features such as the expected support for audio monitoring on connected headphones, which enables this function either through wired or bluetooth devices. Another important improvement is the camera’s new focus controls for changing the focus of the lens during a shot. In this way, users can gradually alternate between 3 preset focus points in the foreground or background, giving the possibility to draw the viewer’s attention to different elements.

Blackmagic Camera 1.3 also adds support for 48mm lenses on iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro, making it possible to get closer to objects with greater ease and stability. In addition, the interface has received improved access to the project listing in the media tab.

Other new system highlights include a small animation when switching between landscape and portrait modes; reduced latency for HDMI video sources; or the ability to display clip name, reel, scene and shot details on an external HDMI monitor during recording。
