The 4K Summit of Malaga is consolidated as a reference event in the world on 4K-HDR technology
The 4K Summit 2018 includes 20 Keynotes and 7 panels offering reports, proposals and views on this new technology, which for three days in Malaga brings together the best speakers from other international forums such as the NAB Show in Las Vegas, the IBC in Amsterdam, the MIPCom and MIPTV in Cannes, and the Lucca Forum, among others.

According to Ricardo Medina, CEO of Medina Media: “The 4KSummit has consolidated itself as a world reference event. There is no other event in the world that gathers all the speakers of the 4KSummit”.
Mario Cortés highlighted the importance of this technological event for the city of Malaga: “The 4KSummit brings together in Malaga world-class experts, placing on the map in the center of technological cities.
As a novelty in the 4K Summit 2018, the doors of the Digital Content Pole will open on Tuesday 6 November from 16:00 hours to enjoy a previous open day (free access, you can register here) in which the main protagonist of the presentations and panels will be the Branded Content. The 4KSummit is open this year to all the residents of Malaga and all those who want to enjoy while an afternoon knowing the more than 20 demos of the Demo Area and learning about Branded Content.
Those attending the previous day will be able to see before anyone else more than 20 demonstrations that will be exhibited in the Demo Area and will enjoy the Medina Media Events Welcome Party.
Another surprise announced at the press conference will be the presence of Carlos Fontanot, NASA’s Imagery Manager of ISS, who will show us live images of NASA’s 4K channel.
Opening session
The opening session, on Wednesday 7, will feature speakers from 移动之星+ President Sergio Oslé; 汉斯·霍夫曼, Head of the unit on Media Fundamentals and Production technology (欧洲广播联盟); British BBC Natural History Unit Series Producer 科林·杰克逊; and Engineer 增田博康, Senior Manager 8K SHV Technical production Development at the Japanese 日本放送协会。
In addition, the Korean multinational 三星, one of the main sponsors of the event along with Movistar, will be represented by Nacho Monge, TV & AV Marketing Manager in Spain; and the French 欧洲通信卫星公司 by its New TV Formats Senior Vice President, 米歇尔·夏布洛尔。
The consultant 穆罕默德·哈姆扎, Senior Analyst of the North American multinational 卡根, a division of Standard & Poors Global Market Intelligence, will be in charge of offering the attendees of the 4K Summit the current picture of the 4K worldwide.
RTVE, Movistar+ and Vestel will share with the audience their vision of the arrival of the 4K in homes thanks to the connected televisions.
The importance of audio and music in Ultra High Definition will be addressed on this first day by 雅尼克·杜马丁尼克斯, from Radio Télevision Suisse, and by the German 弗劳恩霍夫, with his Business Development Director, 阿方索·卡雷拉。
Second day
The second day, Thursday 8, will be dedicated to Sports in its early hours. The CEO of the French production company 哈佛商学院, Francis Tellier, who in collaboration with FIFA organized the television coverage of the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia, will open the space dedicated to the production of live sports in 4K-UHD.
索尼, through Norbert Paquet, will tell its experience as the brand chosen as the main supplier of cameras for the World Cup in Russia, which was the first major global event produced entirely in 4K-HDR.
Next, a panel with 伊恩·诺克 (Ultra High Definition Forum), Guillermo Jiménez (Olympic Broadcast Services), Mickaël Raulet (阿特姆) 和 艾米丽·普拉纳斯 (媒体专业), will review the experiences of 4K this 2018 in other events such as the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang (Korea), Roland Garros (France) and LaLiga (Spain).
Presentations by 伊恩·洛 (Dolby), 米格尔·安赫尔·冈萨雷斯 (华为), 斯特凡·霍夫曼 (松下), 克劳斯·韦伯 (草谷), 萨尔瓦多·卢纳 (富士能) 和 卡洛斯·卡斯坦 (佳能) will complete the morning session from the manufacturers’ point of view.
In the afternoon, it will be time to get to know the new technological solutions of multinationals such as 移动之星 (鲁本·梅拉多), 诺基亚 (阿尔瓦罗·维勒加斯), 阿贾 (凯文·金) and the advantages of the 5G of Rohde&Schwarz (胡安·帕尚), 赛尔内克斯 (哈维·雷东) 和 希帕卫星 (丹尼尔·卡斯特罗)。
In addition, a final set of conferences focused on the new horizons that are opened for content with Ultra High Definition (UHD) will listen to French 奥利维尔·奇亚博多 (探险家组织), Italian 米尔科·马斯特罗皮特罗 (意大利天空电视台) and Spanish 卡洛斯·迪亚斯·德拉斯特拉 (马贝拉岩石酒店)。
Finally, on the third day, Friday 9, the star of the 4KSummit will be 蒂埃里·福蒂埃, the president of the Ultra High Definition Forum (UHD Forum).
Fautier will give his lecture on Where is the 4K now and where is it going? Next, UHD Forum Communication Chairman 本杰明·布莱克 will explain the 4K Ecosystem Map at the industrial and standards level around the world.
保罗·格雷, Senior Analyst at the British multinational consulting firm IHS Markit (with more than 16,000 professionals on five continents), will summarise the most important headlines left by the fourth edition of the 4K Summit and offer his forecasts on the evolution of the 4K in the coming years.
The final day of the 4K Summit 2018 will take place in Colombia, which will host the first edition of the 4K Americas, the Latin American edition of the 4K Summit, on July 9 and 10, 2019.
The CEO of Extenda, 凡妮莎·伯纳德, will moderate a panel in which high executives of the 安视 和 Caracol Televisión will participate.
玛丽亚·卡米拉·维拉米扎 (安视) 和 约翰娜鲁埃达 (蜗牛) will discuss women’s empowerment on television, Colombia’s commitment to the Digital Content Economy and 4K content, and its support for 4K Americas.
