EVS Alex Redfern CTO - Xavier Orri EVP Operaciones y proyectos - Operations and projects

Alex Redfern and Xavier Orri will take on new roles within EVS: CTO and EVP of operations and projects, respectively.

These promotions come as the company embarks on its next stage of growth and prepares to deliver key projects through 2022, including some of the biggest events on the international sporting calendar.

As chief technology officer (CTO), Redfern will lead the EVS R&D programme, overseeing the development and delivery of innovative solutions to clients, while ensuring that technology investments are aligned with the company’s business objectives. As a new member of the leadership team, he will also play a key role in evangelising the EVS technology vision and strategy on a global scale.

Having worked for EVS for more than 15 years, Alex brings significant customer, product and business knowledge to this role. A British national, he joined the company as a technical support engineer. He later took on the role of VP Pre-Sales, working closely with EVS customers in key territories and supporting them in the production of major events. In 2020, his hands-on experience enabled him to successfully lead the EVS global team of consulting services solution architects, focused on developing key workflow-based, customer-focused solutions.

In addition, as Executive Vice President of Operations and Projects, Spaniard Xavier Orri will oversee the implementation and deployment of EVS solutions worldwide. EVS believes that his presence on the management team will be “critical” to improving the visibility of EVS’ customer-facing operations, ensuring that the company’s customer intimacy approach is embedded in all decisions. Prior to joining EVS as SVP of Operations and Projects in 2020, Xavier worked at a number of broadcast-related technology companies, including satellite communications company ST Engineering iDirect (formerly Newtec), where he held positions of increasing responsibility in project management and customer solutions development.

Serge Van Herck, CEO of EVS, welcomes both promotions: “I am delighted to have Alex and Xavier join our EVS Leadership Team. I trust their forward-looking perspective and experience will further heighten the awareness of our customers’ needs and concerns at all levels of the organization and will help us make great strides towards our ambitious growth objective.”
