PANASONIC AG-HPX301: The sampling camera 4: 2: 2 and 10 bits more affordable
The new AG-HPX301 has just been released below 10,000 euros. With 1/3 inch with a native resolution of 2.2 megapixels, interchangeable objective, light shoulder design and AVC-Intra recording, offers a quality level so far unknown at this price level.
Intracuvation recording 4: 2: 2 to 10 bits and Full HD sensors with native resolution of 2.2 megapixels, are some of the most outstanding features of the AG-HPX301, the new Panasonic Camcorder P2HD. With 1/3 inch, it presents an innovative design with shoulder support, has an interchangeable objective and has a series of a 17x Fujinon HD target.
The AG-HPX301E Chamber incorporates the advanced 3-MOSE technology of 2.2 megapixels and 1/3 ”to get HD images in its native resolution. With a new design of the optical block and high-precision prism technology, these advanced sensors of sensors of
3-Let's images offer exceptional image quality while reducing halo (Flare) and chromatic aberration. Quality performance image of the HPX301E even more improves with the new Digital Signal (DSP) processor of 20 bits.
There is no doubt that with this Camcorder, Panasonic has established a new reference point in terms of quality-price ratio since in addition to providing capture in Full-HD native resolution at 1920 × 1080, it works with an intracted sampling 4: 2: 2 to 10 bits using the Avcintra CODEC, thus replacing the recording of 4: 2: 0, Long Gop and 8 bits. Offering the impressive quality of the CODEC AVC-INTRA to 100 and 50MBPS, the HPX301E also records intracurate with the CODES DVCPRO HD of 100 Mbps and in standard definition in DVCPRO50, DVCPRO and DV, which provides a faster working flow and less degradation in multigenerational reproduction.
The CODECS AVC -int 100 and 50 allow you to select different HD video formats, such as NTSC and PAL frequencies. In addition, it also records in intertwined and progressive sd frequencies. The camera is also compatible with output 1080/23.98PSF
(through HD-SDI) for use in high quality cinematographic productions. The camera output can adjust the conversion to a lower resolution or for cross conversion with a 16: 9 or 4: 3 or Squeeze panoramic format.
The interchangeable lens design of the HPX301E offers video professionals the flexibility of using a wide range of HD objectives.
The Chamber incorporates different already known functions, including the compensation of chromatic aberration (CAC) to maximize the performance of the objective, inverse sweeping for use with cinematographic lenses, DRS function (dynamic margin extension) to help compensate for variations in lighting, wave shape monitor and two help functions for the approach both by expansion of the image and with the focus bar.
For greater creativity, the HPX301E also has variable frame functions to create fast and slow camera effects. In 720p mode, you can choose between 20 variable speed steps from 12p to 60p. Since the HPX301e records
Images in the Fochero Frequency Defined in the Chamber, the effect on the act can be forecast, without having to use any frame frequency converter. When working with the advanced mode 1080/480 24PA, users will be able to use “Pull-Down” 2: 3: 3: 2, allowing most non-linear editing systems easily extract 24 photograms in importation.
P2 recording
Equipped with two P2 card slots, the new 64GB P2 cards, provide the HPX301E with a recording capacity greater than that of tape -based cameras. The HPX301E offers all the benefits of a faster workflow based on P2HD files and incorporates recording functions such as instant recording start, clips visualization for quick access to video content of all cards and a wide variety of fast recording modes including continuous recording, card selector, hot extraction, loop recording, pre-registration (three seconds in HD and seven seconds in HD SD), Continuous recording and intervals recording. The camera also has an SD memory card slot to save or load scene files and user settings, or proxy data (requires the Optional proxy AJ800G card).
The HPX301E has advanced gamma functions with six filming scenarios, including the popular Gamma Cine-Like modes available in the well-known Varicam Panasonic camera, which offers recordings with the warm and characteristic tone of films of movies. A scene file selector on the camera side offers rapid access to the six scheduled settings; The selector can also be programmed with user -defined settings.
The camera interfaces include two SDI outputs (HD and SD-SDI SWITABLE), video output (only converted SD video), IEEE 1394, USB 2.0 interface compatible with host mode, input / output of the time code (with reader / time code generator integrated SMPTE). Additional functions include GENLOCK input, 4 -position ND optical filter controls, DC feeding input, color bars selector, three XLR audio jacks (one in the front, two on the rear), wireless microphone slot (unislot compatible unislot wireless receiver of 2 channels) and programmable user buttons.
As well as the last firmware update of this camera, the multinational has introduced important improvements such as the compensation of flash bands. Since in the case of MOS sensors, each line is read sequentially from top to bottom (Rolling Shutter), a very low consumption is achieved in high speed exploration. Due to the time difference between the reading of the top and the lower part of an image, a flash can cause an image to be left in two segments, one illuminated with the flash and another not (it is what is known as ‘flash bands’). After the last firmware of the HPX341, of the detection of flash bands, an algorithm is responsible for compensating the bands (FBC), using the image contained in the flash band and the previous image obtaining a correctly illuminated image with the flash, as it happens when a global shutter is used (as in the CCDs).
Panasonic has also improved noise in 1080/25p and 24p/30p mode. After the update, the signal process circuits have been reviewed, and the parameters have been altered to improve image quality by reducing noise when working with Look Cinema.
HPX301E can also be used as a study chamber. It has a remote control terminal (RCU) to use with the AJ-RC10G remote control unit and with the compatible study control systems. With a little more than 3.5 kg, ergonomic management and the balanced and light design of the HPX301E make it a comfortable camera to use. All card grooves volume controls and operations switches are on the left side to facilitate operation. The HPX301E has an LCOS color viewer of 1,226,000 points with panoramic screen and a 921,000 points, 3.2 inches and panoramic screen. Energy consumption is only 18 watts.
The HPX301E has a sale price to the public below 10,000 euros and offers the security of the five -year premium service program (1 year + 4 years of additional guarantee, once the equipment is registered).
