Strategic alliance between Quantel and Spatial View

Quantel's innovative Stereo 3D technology will thus join the potential of Spatial View's autostereoscopic multiplatform displays.

Quantel and Spatial View today announced that both companies have entered into a strategic partnership agreement that will make it possible for content creators of all sizes to accelerate the development of 3D projects at affordable costs and in a more simple way.

The first project of this partnership will be the development of a plug-in that allows Stereo 3D material produced on Quantel systems to be viewed on a wide range of Spatial View devices, including 3D screens, computer monitors, and the iPhone 3G, without the need to use 3D glasses.

Quantel's innovative Stereo 3D technology, used in productions of the importance of the successful Disney movie Hannah Montana concert movie, has allowed the industry for the first time to manage the post-production of live events, with high-resolution 3D Stereo material on a manageable time scale.

Spatial View is the leading technology developer for 3D autostereoscopic image processors and displays that enable viewing, without special glasses, content-rich 3D presentations for key markets, including retail/POS, digital signing, professional design, gaming, entertainment and animation. Spatial View's latest product, the Wazabee 3DeeShell, allows you to view 3D content on the iPhone 3G, without glasses.

3D on any platform

Además del desarrollo del plugin, Quantel ofrecerá demostraciones utilizando la tecnología auto estereoscópica 3D de Spatial View en los próximos meses. El plugin se lanzará esta primavera.
