The Valladolid International Film and Television Week opens today with a tribute to Chicho Ibáñez Serrador.

seminci2 Valladolid will not only be known for the cinematographic aspect of its Seminci. For the first time, the first International Film and Television Week is being held today for six days. The directors and protagonists of the telefilms from the Official Section in competition will travel to the capital of Valladolid. Today the presence of the team of the film that opens the festival, The Other City, is scheduled to be attended by its director, Silvia Quer, author of the successful miniseries. 23 F: the king's most difficult day, and the actors Aida Oset (Outsiders), Juan Sanz (The best of me, Central Hospital) and Tristán Ulloa(Marta and surroundings, Lucía and sex, Mataharis).

But the most emotional moment of the opening of this Seminci TV is the tribute that during tonight's gala is paid to the master among masters of the small screen: Chicho Ibáñez Serrador. The creator of Un, Two, Three… o Stories to keep you from sleeping will be accompanied by actress Gemma Cuervo (Ahere there is no one alive, the one that is coming) and the actor Manuel Galiana (Tell me, Marriage scenes), who worked on many of their television films. The protagonists of her film La culpa, included in the cycle that the festival dedicates to her, will join this tribute: Nieve de Medina (El ball, Mondays in the sun y the series The Lady), Montse Mostaza (Ferpect crime and the series There is someone there) and the young Alejandra Lorenzo (Asea in troubled times). Tomorrow, the directors Alex de la Iglesia, Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza, Juan Antonio Bayona and Koldo Serra will participate in a round table on The Inheritance of Ibáñez Serrador.

The Festival will also dedicate a special tribute to Silvia Munt by screening at the closing gala, out of competition, her latest work as a director, under the same sky. During this Seminci TV, representatives from the different television stations will come to Valladolid to present their projects (TVE, Andalucía TV, Antena 3, TV3 and TVV).
