Sapec presents its H.264 high definition technology at IBC'09
Among other novelties, Sapec will show the new features of its equipment such as the FEC for transmission error correction.
Sapec, a Spanish company specialized in professional solutions for the transmission of audio and video signals, will participate in IBC for the fifth consecutive year. At its stand it will show its new technology in H.264 HD encoders and decoders along with other equipment and live demonstrations of its technological solutions for compressed video and audio transmission, such as DVB-T headers and the aforementioned H.264 HD encoding.
During the fair, the new features that the company has developed for its current generation of Sivac MPEG 2 SD encoders and decoders will also be shown, among which the FEC (Forward Error Correction) function stands out, with an improvement in the decoder's response to transmission errors; the internal multiplexer in the encoders, to work as a TV and radio encoder in the same equipment; and a protocol for the codecs to self-manage in a 1+1 configuration.
Sapec's Sales and Marketing Director, José Manuel López Roldán, has highlighted the importance of participating in IBC since "Sapec is in the midst of its internationalization phase. The event provides us with the appropriate platform to exhibit our new products in the most effective way. We believe that our new products and features will have a good reception at the fair, since they are products that have been designed with the characteristics of the different digital television systems in mind."
