Vocento permanently leaves Telecinco

After months of rumors about its possible departure, the communication group leaves the private channel, generating capital gains of more than 70 million euros.

Through two sales operations carried out yesterday and today, Vocento has finally sold, after months of rumors, the 7.15 million shares that it still owned in Telecinco and which represented 5.08% of the private company's capital. The gross capital gains generated in this operation are estimated at 70.1 million. This transaction, carried out through a closed operation in the market, has generated a capital gain before taxes of 41.4 million euros for Vocento, as reported by the group to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). The placement of this remainder of 2.9% occurs after Vocento announced yesterday the sale of 2.18% of Telecinco for an amount of 39.5 million euros, which has provided Vocento with gross capital gains of 28.7 million euros. Together, the two operations have involved the sale of 5.08% of Telecinco for a combined amount of 95.3 million euros and capital gains before taxes of 70.1 million euros.
