CiU's deputy spokesperson in Congress, Josep Sánchez Llibre, will meet with companies in the television sector to study the position of Catalan nationalists regarding the validation of the decree law that opens the door to paid DTT.

Sánchez Llibre has already announced that he does not believe the accusation that the Government favors 'friendly groups' because, from his preliminary contacts, he understands that general private channels support the initiative.

The PP has already announced its intention to vote against the validation of the decree law, which must pass through the Plenary Session of Congress in mid-September, so the position of the Catalan nationalists, who have ten deputies, is key for the future of paid DTT.

In statements to Europa Press, Sánchez Llibre indicated that CiU continues to analyze the decree law approved on the 13th by the Government and has not yet established its position. Starting next week, the nationalists will open a round of contacts with the operators to find out their position and establish criteria before the momentous parliamentary vote.
