IBC Startup Forum

IBC announced this Thursday the launch of the Startup Forum, a new initiative for the next edition of the fair that will bring together innovative digital media companies and investors in a day of presentations, panels, pitching and networking. The event, which will take place on September 17 in Amsterdam, will be held in partnership with Media Honeypot, organizers of the eponymous international conference that helps media executives identify new business opportunities with emerging technology companies.

IBC CEO Michael Crimp highlighted that "for 50 years, IBC has established itself as the world's leading media technology event. In 2017, the media and entertainment business is being transformed by innovative and entrepreneurial startups. For this reason, established media outlets and investors are actively seeking the new technologies that will lead the next wave of growth. IBC 2017 is capitalizing on this opportunity by launching the IBC Startup Forum. Industry insight of IBC, combined with the matchmaking expertise of Media Honeypot, ensures that the IBC Startup Forum is an unmissable event.”

Companies related to media, virtual reality, e-commerce, security, machine learning, applications or SEO are expected to participate in the IBC Startup Forum. The Media Honeypot and IBC teams will screen the companies and select approximately 75 companies that they believe are of greatest interest to investors and the market.
