Sony and Ovide BS will show the XDCAM HD422 tapeless stream in Madrid and Barcelona

The events, with two sessions each, will take place in October at the Ovide BS offices (on the 6th in Barcelona and on the 8th in Madrid), and they will be able to see an example of the XDCAM HD 422 tapeless workflow in full swing along with several HD studio cameras.

On October 6 and 8, Sony and Ovide BS will organize two events to present Sony news to professionals in the audiovisual sector. The equipment on which the presentations will focus will be the XDCAM HD422 family with the PDW-F800 camcorder, the PDW-F1600 deck, the PDW-U1 portable reader/recorder and its integration with Final Cut Pro and Avid post-production systems, as well as its live production family with the HSC-300 camera chain and monitoring of the LMD and BVM series.

These sessions will be directed by director of photography Nacho Benítez; the editor Jaime Sagi-Vela; the product managers of Sony Spain, Fernando Muro and Víctor Louzao; and the technical director of Ovide BS, Sergi Maudet.

On each of the two days, an initial talk of about 90 minutes is planned for the speakers to explain the XDCAM tapeless workflow in high-level production and the possibilities of the new range of HD studio cameras. The possibilities of the new generation of XDCAM HD422 equipment will also be explored as a natural evolution of Betacam and HDCAM systems towards tapeless solutions, both at the camera level and in terms of workflow and integration with the main post-production systems (Avid and Final Cut Pro). This will be followed by a question and answer session, after which attendees will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the equipment and, together with Sony and Ovide B.S. technicians, operate with it, test the workflow or clarify doubts and curiosities.

On the 8th, the conference will take place at the Madrid offices of Ovide BS (Mateo García, 10).
