Olympus LS-10, a practical recorder with rates up to 24bit/96kHz

Intended for professional use in music and journalism, the LS-10 Linear PCM recorder is the ideal tool to capture the moment. It has a high sensitivity, stereo microphone with noise reduction, sampling rates of up to 24bit/96kHz and PCM recording.

During Broadcast'09 we will be able to see the new Olympus LS-10 recorder. It is a device designed for musical and journalistic applications, with high sensitivity and a sampling rate of 24 bit/96kHz. Featuring stereo microphone with noise reduction and PCM recording, users enjoy additional flexibility thanks to three different file formats: in addition to WMA and MP3, the WAV format is also available to meet the demands of the most demanding audio professionals.

The LS-10 has a high quality and durable body. Aside from their metal dials for adjusting volume and recording levels, the microphone cases are handcrafted from a solid block of aluminum. The ergonomic shape of this recorder makes it more practical, while its compact design allows it to be transported comfortably.

Superior quality recordings require many versatile storage options, which is why the LS-10 includes 2 GB of internal memory and an SD card slot. For a significant increase in storage capacity, this model supports the SDHC format which can provide 32 Gb of additional storage space. Additionally, the LS-10 has long-lasting battery life for longer recordings and playback.

Integrated speaker

In addition to great audio quality and advanced options, this linear PCM recorder also features a built-in speaker for immediate playback, as well as a tripod attachment for quick and easy mounting. Compatible with Windows and Macintosh operating systems, the LS-10 comes with Steinberg's well-known advanced music production software Cubase 4 LE, which enables playback of PCM recordings at 24bit/96kHz – more than a professional player. Additional tools and features tied to Cubase include multitrack recording, MIDI support, digital mixer and an instructional video specially produced by Olympus.

The LS-10 also includes a carrying case, USB cable, audio cable, and two microphone foams. Some optional accessories include infrared remote control, AC adapter, ME30W conference microphone, carrying case, tripod and rechargeable Ni-MH battery.
