The sound pressure level of the new Sennheiser headphones ensures accurate listening, even in the noisiest situations such as a football stadium or a racing circuit, while its hyper-cardioid microphone guarantees professional quality voice transmission.

Whether in a football stadium or a racing circuit, Sennheiser's new HMD 26 intercom headsets are ideal for professional use in noisy environments: Not only major sporting events are noisy, a high level of ambient noise in television recording studios can make it necessary to use special equipment. To solve this problem, Sennheiser has launched the HMD 26 intercom headset.

With a frequency response of 20 to 18,000Hz, this equipment ensures detailed and faithful sound reproduction up to a sound pressure level of 105 dB. The closed design effectively attenuates external noise by 25 dB.

For those who prefer even more peace with a lower noise level while working, Sennheiser also offers the HMDC 26 headband, a version that incorporates the NoiseGard function for active noise reduction. At the touch of a button reduces background noise by more than 18 dB.

Both models also incorporate ActiveGard technology for hearing protection. Designed by Sennheiser, this technology automatically reduces sudden volume spikes that exceed the human sensitivity level of 105 dB without acoustic distortion.

Micro hiper-cardioide

If the transmission is taking place in a particularly noisy environment, the pickup pattern of the microphones plays a decisive role, ensuring voice intelligibility. The HMD 26's dynamic noise-compensating microphone and its hyper-cardioid polar pattern basically focus on the user's voice and background noises are not picked up. This newly developed microphone has an extremely flat frequency response between 40 and 16,000Hz. For outdoor use it has a specially designed wind protector.

The microphone, which can be placed in any position, rotates 300 degrees, and can be used both left and right. When the microphone is raised above the head into a vertical position, a 'click' sounds and the microphone automatically turns off.

This headband weighs just 200 grams and due to its comfort it can be used during prolonged work sessions. The swivel earcups allow for one-sided listening, and when required, one of them can be rotated behind the ear. Sennheiser's patented two-piece headband system ensures a secure fit even when the user moves from side to side.

Both the HMD 26 and HMDC 26 are available in all standard connector configurations. The set includes a wind shield and a cable clip.
