Sennheiser introduces new color options, connectors and accessories for the popular MKE 1 model, its smallest lavalier microphone.

Sennheiser MKE 1Sennheiser's smallest clip-on microphone for television and theater applications now has new versions in white and brown. But perhaps the most important aspect is the incorporation of a 3.5mm connector to attach to the wireless Evolution series bodypack transmitters. At the same time, Sennheiser has introduced a new accessory kit that includes everything you need to secure this tiny microphone to any surface.

The white microphone is ideal for applications in television studios and the brown version is designed for theater and musical works, a request from theatrical users who wanted an additional option to the MKE 1 in black and beige.

The MKE 1 has a new 3.5mm cord connector, in addition to the versions with LEMO connectors and unterminated cables, so with these new facilities, multiple users of wireless evolution systems will also be able to adapt the microphone to their own applications.

MZ1 Accessory Kit

Another novelty is the accessory kit for the MKE 1 contained in a transparent case with individual compartments that store different types of clips to secure the microphone wherever it is placed, in addition to the wind protection accessories.

The accessories: two mini clips, two “Dracula” type mounts, two small magnetic mounts with straps, and two mini pliers that rotate 360°. The clips are also available in black and white.

Completing the set are soft plastic covers for applications where the microphone must be hidden. Additionally, wind protectors are included that help attenuate noise: two baskets (white and beige), as well as foam caps in black, white, beige and the new brown color.

The baskets attenuate noise by up to 22 dB and with the cap by 10 dB more. All accessories are also available as spare parts.
