The call for Euromed Audiovisual III aid is open
With a budget of five million euros, the European Commission, within the framework of the foreign cooperation activities of the European Union, has just launched this aid program for the development and strengthening of the film and audiovisual industry in the countries of the southern Mediterranean.
The deadline for submitting applications to benefit from the aid program has been opened until June 1 Euromed Audiovisual III sponsored by the European Union within the framework of foreign cooperation activities. This aid program seeks to develop and promote the film and audiovisual industry in the countries of the southern Mediterranean, the promotion of complementarity and integration of the film and audiovisual industries of the region, and the promotion of the free circulation of cinematographic goods and services.
The call covers both the training of professionals, the strengthening of distribution and support for new distribution models, and support for the dissemination and development of a Euro-Mediterranean audience.
Consortia of at least three partners (non-governmental organization, public sector operators, territorial collectivities, organizations/societies in the audiovisual sector, intergovernmental organizations) of which at least two have the nationality of one of the ten MEDA countries or territories: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia can participate in one of these three fields. The actions must be applied in at least three of the MEDA countries or territories.
The support from the European Union will range between 400,000 and one million euros and this amount may not exceed 80% of the total cost of the project. Its duration may not exceed 36 months.
