Helena Taberna is preparing a documentary about Nagore Laffage
The Navarrese director Helena Taberna is preparing a feature-length documentary about the murder of Nagore Laffage, a topic that has once again come to the media on the occasion of the judicial resolution that confirms the sentence of the trial that took place last fall.
Nagore Laffage was murdered on July 7, 2008 during the San Fermín festivities, at the hands of a young psychiatrist from the Navarra University Clinic, where Nagore herself carried out her internship as a nurse. This tragic event, which shocked Spanish society, continues to have enormous media impact. The media have followed step by step the development of the trial and all the mobilizations carried out by Asun Casasola.
Now, the Navarrese director Helena Taberna (Yoyes, The Good News…) is preparing a documentary about these events, which is produced by Lamia Producciones, with the participation of Asun Casasola, Nagore's mother, acting as the guiding thread. The feature film reproduces the most important parts of the trial and features the participation of the various parties involved in the judicial process, as well as family and friends of the victim, and representatives of various groups that work against gender violence.
Helena Taberna's latest fiction film, The Good News It continues its journey through Festivals around the world and has received fourteen international awards so far.
