Ikegami offers 1080i/720p support on the HDS-V10
The possibility of working at 1080i or 720p has been decisive when it comes to adopting this Ikegami GFCAM HDS-V10 Flash-RAM camcorder both in the studio and in ENG by broadcasters such as Univisión.
The Univisión group has chosen Ikegami's GFCAM HDS-V10 HD tapeless camcorders for its studio operations and its information delegations. Univision. which is currently immersed in a process of transition to high definition, has opted for this 3 2/3 CCD camcorder by now offering, among other options, native 1080i or 720p support.
The camera can record on CompactFlash cards housed on GFPAK cartridges and a USB port for immediate access to files from a laptop or editing system. This function is also available via Bluetooth, allowing you to instantly access the proxy recording from any laptop.
Its HD recording in MXF MPEG-2 (50Mb/s long GOP or 100Mb/s I-frame) at 60i, 24p, 25p and 30p uses a programmable codec. The 128GB GFPAK device can hold up to four hours of 1920x1080/4:2.2 HD footage at 50Mb/s MPEG-2.
Ikegami offers the possibility of replacing the GFCAM unit with the FE-C100A fiber adapter for high definition studio operations.
