Panasonic launches a new series of high-end projectors
Panasonic introduces three new models as part of the launch of a new range of projectors aimed at a wide range of rental projects, fixed installations and outdoor advertising, such as live events, auditoriums, presentations and dynamic advertising.
Panasonic has announced that it will introduce three new models as part of the launch of a new range of projectors aimed at a wide range of rental projects, fixed installations and outdoor advertising, such as live events, auditoriums, presentations and dynamic advertising. The DZ110X series models will offer up to 10,600 lumens and will replace the current models in this category to become the most compact and lightest '3 chip DLP' (Digital Light Processing) projectors in the world. These projectors will be available in Europe from August 2010 in response to the industry's growing requirements for image quality, portability and brightness.
The DZ110X models have been designed to offer a very good performance/price ratio, with a very low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) despite having a complete set of very advanced features. The projectors in this range come with lamps with a life of 4,000 hours in eco mode and 3,000 hours in normal mode. Additionally, the filters have a 10,000 hour cycle. Weighing 24 kg. and dimensions of 530 x 200 x 548.5 mm, these 10,000 lumen 3DLP projectors are the brightest and most flexible that have been manufactured so far.
Christian Sokcevic, general manager of projector sales and marketing at Panasonic, highlighted that "the improvements we have made to this type of projector mean the elimination of many of the limitations associated until now with DLP equipment. The improvements in weight and size mean that DLP technology can now be used in more configurations than before, expanding the field of use of projectors in sectors such as rental, fixed installations and outdoor advertising where we hope to gain more customers."
The compact form of the projectors helps make DLP technology more accessible to users, while increasing the relevance of the performance of the DLP range as a rental option. In this sense, projectors will open up new possibilities for uses, to allow the signage and rental markets to meet more user requests.
The new models PT-DZ110X (WUXGA resolution 1920x1200, 10,600 lumens, contrast ratio 10,000:1), PT-DS100X (SXGA+ resolution 1400x1050, 10,600 lumens, contrast ratio 10,000:1) and PT-DW90X (WXGA resolution 1366×768, 9,600 lumens, 10,000:1 contrast ratio) will be available in Europe through the authorized dealer network starting in August.
