Sapec has supplied Radio Television of Castilla y León (RTVCYL) with the encoders and decoders from which the signal produced on the television stations of Salamanca, Ponferrada and León will be sent to the headquarters of Television of Castilla y León in Valladolid.
In addition to sending the signal, in León you can receive any of the video signals from the different headquarters.
The equipment supplied belongs to the SIVAC 1000 family of encoders and decoders, designed and manufactured by the Spanish company. The model supplied is specifically the SIVAC 1000-D4A, an MPEG 2 encoder with PAL and SDI input, four embedded audio, analog or AES/EBU, MP@ML compression, WSS processing and ASI output interface.
The supplied encoders allow radio channels to be transmitted as they generate independent video and audio PMTs, thus eliminating the need for additional audio encoders.
Television de Castilla y León already had Sapec equipment to unite its headquarters in Valladolid through an IP network.
