Stewart launches its new Silver 5D material optimized for 3D and 2D

The new material designed by Stewart Filmscreen based on the popular Silver 3D has been optimized for 3D and 2D applications, offering 3D passive polarization while maintaining exceptional performance in 2D projections. Like other Stewart materials, it will be available in a single piece, without joints or welding, in sizes up to 27 m. x 12m.

Stewart Filmscreen Corporation, a specialist in precision projection screens, has just introduced the new Silver 5D (3D+2D) screen designed with an innovative material that offers 3D passive polarization while maintaining exceptional performance in 2D projections.

It retains all the features of the Silver 3D material while improving uniformity, reducing hot spot and offering a considerably greater viewing angle than previous materials or those of the competition. Available in sizes up to 27 m. x 12m. in one piece, Stewart plans to launch this new 5D hybrid material and its supply in fixed frame screens before the end of the year, while the Silver 5D, in a micro-perforated version, will be available in the first quarter of 2011.

Stewart ha hecho un enorme esfuerzo en I+D para el desarrollo de una pantalla con polarización mejorada, que conserva la tecnología de pantalla 3D, pero reduciendo los posibles artefactos de imagen, facilitando que un solo material de proyección pueda funcionar también con fuentes de proyección 2D no polarizadas.
