Comunicàlia restructures its schedule and premieres seven programs in the first quarter of 2011
Comunicàlia begins 2011 by restructuring its content grid and offering 22 programs of different periodicities and durations to affiliated local television stations. Televisions that have access to the contents of the Exclusivity Package will have six spaces at their disposal, one daily and five weekly. Among the latter, there are two new features: 'Docus mediterranis', documentaries produced by Paral·lel 40 and 'Generacions Sàpiens', produced by Sàpiens Publicacions.
Comunicàlia begins 2011 by restructuring its content grid and offering 22 programs of different periodicities and durations to affiliated local television stations. Of these spaces, seven are absolute new features, ten are programs that continue from the fourth quarter of 2010, one program returns to the grid after a hiatus, and, finally, four more are redistributions of programs already sent during 2010. The grid is still divided into two large groups, the spaces of the so-called Exclusivity Package, accessible only to certain television stations, and those of the Basic Package, open to all participating media.
Televisions that have access to the contents of the Exclusivity Package will have six spaces at their disposal, one daily and five weekly. Among the latter, there are two new features: the first is Mediterranean documents, a selection of documentaries lasting less than half an hour, made in the last five years in Catalonia and produced by Paral·lel 40. All the documentaries have the human being at the center of the discourse, with a very open perspective: historical, personal, social... Each program contains an initial presentation, by Anna Petrus, which briefly describes the content of the documentary and introduces the author or authors.
The second novelty is Wise Generations, produced by Paral·lel 40 (publishing company of the monthly history magazine Sàpiens), with the collaboration of the production company Batabat. This space is the result of the collaboration agreement signed between Comunicàlia and the Association of Periodical Publications in Catalan (APPEC), which has already allowed the co-production of other content, such as TV cuts o Such a lie. It is a space dedicated to the recovery of historical memory starring different pairs of grandmothers and grandchildren. Each program addresses an event or historical period of the 20th century, which the grandmother has witnessed, and which the granddaughter or grandson, student of History or other majors, certifies and contextualizes in current physical spaces related to that event. The program is presented by Claudia Pujol from the Museum of History of Catalonia, the sponsoring institution of the space.
The Exclusivity Package is completed with the already known contents such as the children's container D’Kids, the wine and cava program TV cuts (presented by Anna Vicens), the one about books The last find (presented by Jordi Llavina) and the interviews women, which returns to the grid after a six-month hiatus with new protagonists (produced by TV de Girona and presented by Mima Garriga).
Basic Package: five new features
Regarding the content open to all participating television stations (Basic Package), five new features stand out: firstly, it premieres The Excuse!, the program that won the 2010 MAC Comunicàlia Audiovisual Award. The Excuse! It is a space of 13 chapters, about 15 minutes long, that tries to offer a different look at the current world. The program is based on the solidarity and transformative content of the Global Latin American Agenda and is structured in three blocks: Look, Think and Act. Some of the topics it deals with are democracy, ecology, gender or militarism and the culture of peace. The Excuse! it presents it Núria Pascal and does it Minnim Productions, by Olot.
Also a result of the agreement between Comunicàlia and APPEC, the TV Values, produced by the Valors Cultural Association, of Maresme, in collaboration with Clack Produccions. The space dedicates each of the 13 chapters, 25 minutes each, to a well-known figure in our country who reflects on a value based on a conversation with the presenter, Joan Salicrú, and other invited experts. For example, Tortell Poltrona talks about joy, Joan Pera about seriousness, Aina Clotet about authenticity, Isidre Esteve about slowness or Lluís Bassat about loneliness.
The third new feature this quarter in the Basic Package is Forty-one, a co-production of Comunicàlia and TDI. It is a 25-minute program that shows us each of the regions of Catalonia (hence the name, since there are 41), and allows us to delve into its festive, cultural, tourist and traditional elements. The coordination of the program is the responsibility of TV del Ripollès.
The key to success, directed and presented by Estrella Fuertes, is another of this quarter's premieres. Also made up of 13 25-minute episodes, this program wants to know first-hand what is the key to the success of different figures in Catalan civil, cultural and economic society. Filmed in emblematic hotels on the Costa Brava, La clau de l'èxit is a calm and slow interview, unconventional, that extracts the best from each of the interviewees.
The latest novelty is a tourist-sports theme: it is GPS, produced by Andorra Television. The space, which consists of 12 chapters lasting between 30 and 40 minutes, offers a series of mountain bike routes through the Pyrenean regions with the aim of discovering both the landscapes and the people who live in each area.
