Mediaset selects Dalet Enterprise Edition to centralize news production
The Integrated Digital Media Asset Management of Dalet will allow the Italian operator to unify the writings of Milan, Rome, and its ten regional centers, in addition to the new 24/7 channel. DALET Enterprise Edition combines production tools with metadata management and medium automation capabilities under the same environment.
Mediaset, the largest commercial broader in Italy, has selected Dalet Enterprise Edition to centralize and expedite all operations related to the production of information, including a 24/7 news channel that will launch at the end of this year.
With this new structure, all journalists distributed between different locations and in the land on which the news will use will use the functionalities of a unified end -to -end writing in which the Dalet Enterprise Edition technology allows information to be collected, prepare the text, edit video and create voices on off ... All this from Dalet's own desk desk.
The DALET platform combines production tools with medium automation and automation capabilities under the same environment. The Dalet Media Asset Management (MAM) platform will manage the most complete news organization, improving the production process and facilitating the exchange, cataloging and preparation of content for multiple outputs.
The launch of the Dalet MAM platform has begun with the installation of the historic wording of Milan with new video production tools and broadcasting for the Studio Aperto channel and the new centralized news agency deployed by Mediaset that will be the nerve center for video and food production to regional channels and web operations. The deployment will then extend to the dozen regional delegations of Mediaset, as well as to the new all news channel.
The efficiency of a centralized workflow will be evident in the early stages of the implementation. More than 120 employees of the news agency are going to use Dalet, while another 25 journalists will work in Rome, perfectly connected to the database with the same content to review the allocation, navigation and video sources, creating their local production reports. Distance journalists will be able to access the database from the field with Dalet Web Space. Forty documentaries in Milan and Rome will manage the metadata and completely catalog the material with the help of search tools in Dalet Enterprise Edition to guarantee integrity and protect the value of average assets.
Thanks to the use of a SOA -based architecture, Mediaset will also be able to integrate other systems by taking advantage of new emerging technologies that best suits their needs.
