Dalet Enterprise Edition 3.3, an IBC’09
This media management solution incorporates a new web client with rich functions for embedded MAM and NRCS, full integration with SeaChange and V4x and new automation for 24-hour news production.
Dalet Digital Media Systems will attend IBC'09 to show the latest version of Dalet Enterprise Edition, its media management solution that allows you to manage complex HD production flows, archiving and reformatting content for news and sports. Among the new features of version 3.3, its new web client stands out with the latest technologies including Flex, Ajax, H264 and streaming API based on REST. Dalet thus provides a complete set of functions for MAM as well as a complete Web-based client for newsrooms. Includes video and audio enhancement and quick production and navigation tools. The streaming video content is in H.264 or MPEG4, making remote access very easy and incredibly fast, with high image quality. This tool is ideal for any user who works with multimedia content, mainly for those editors who work remotely such as journalists who cover information in the field. Thanks to this web client you can edit with precision, have a rich multimedia bin-clip, have search tools, as well as a much more elegant interface.
Regarding the search engine DaletPlus 3.3 is based on Lucene / SOLR technology. The distribution of interactive content has also been improved, and in collaboration with SeaChange and V4x, Dalet will show its content production and distribution capacity at IBC'09. The new interface also integrates VoD applications developed together with SeaChange that, together with V4x technology, allow operators to add a layer of interactivity to the distribution of multimedia content. It should be noted that Dalet has carried out a deep integration with the SeaChange servers offering a single solution for MAM, news, files, and much more.
Another element to highlight about this solution is the possibility of integrating a 24/7 newsroom, with features such as graphics production directly from the Dalet Media Cutter timeline, positioning with inputs and outputs, video and graphics pre-desktop.
Raúl Cospen, Dalet's marketing director, has pointed out that "in 2008 and 2009 we have witnessed the application in the main broadcasters of Dalet solutions with the consequent overall decrease in production costs and an increase in productivity.
