Tigo will launch its pay TV platform in July
Tigo's offer will include, in principle, a basic package of about 15 channels in HD, VOD, PPV, among others, as well as a premium subscription configuring an offer of 140 channels.
After the court ruled favorably on the appeal of the telephone company Tigo to operate the prepaid cable television service in the city of Asunción, the company is preparing to begin work on its network.
Initially it will have a small grid, while the first city to have television and Internet service will be Lambaré in mid-July. Currently the company already provides Internet services in different modalities such as mobile Internet, in addition to provision through fiber optics and in this case it will be accompanied by the television signal.

"Initially the grid is small, we still do not have the total number of signals that we are going to have on the air, we are finishing the negotiations, it is a little difficult because there was only one cable operator. We are finishing the rest of the signal operators that they are selling to us by agreeing on the prices, the volumes, the contracts," said Moscatelli.
Cable television and Internet services at home will be available in mid-July in the city of Lambaré, extending the network later to Fernando de la Mora, San Lorenzo, Luque and Asunción. In a second phase five years from now, it will extend the service to other strategic points in the interior of the country with high demographic density.
The National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) of Paraguay is working rapidly regarding the granting of pay TV licenses. It recently granted a DTH license to Claro, the subsidiary of América Móvil, which adds to the one received by TuVes, the Chilean satellite TV operator; the Paraguayan Communications Company (Copaco) continues in IPTV tests; Claro is also awaiting authorization from CONATEL to begin offering cable services.
