The Minister of Planning, Julio De Vido, when inaugurating three new digital terrestrial stations, has highlighted the importance of the reach of the Open Digital Television (TDA) system throughout the national territory. De Vido has assured that by the end of 2012 almost 100% of the population will have access to digital television.

At this moment, Argentina has 23 broadcasting centers throughout the country that broadcast a signal that receives 600,000 homes, which already represents three million viewers. Digital coverage is currently 55%.

The minister has anticipated that by the end of the year, Argentina will have a total of fifty emission centers, covering 75% of the population.
