MOG MXFSpeedrail will support the ProRes codec

MOG Technologies has announced that the company's SDI/HD SDI recording systems, MXFSpeedrail, will now support Apple's ProRes codec.

MOG Technologies has announced that the company's SDI/HD SDI recording systems, MXFSpeedrail, will now support Apple's ProRes codec. The addition of ProRes compatibility will allow MXFSpeedrail customers to easily integrate the codec into their workflows without sacrificing the flexibility these systems provide.

Vitor Teixeira, director of MKT MOG Technologies, highlighted that "integrated support for ProRes makes MXFSpeedrail one of the most complete products on the market for recording SD and HD video with a wide range of video formats including DV, DVCPRO, IMX, AVC-I, DVCPRO HD, XDCAM HD, MPEG and H263. MOG is committed to robust file-based structures for our broadcast clients, and support for “ProRes provides our customers with a full range of professional formats to choose from.”

MXFSpeedrail S1000 is a powerful and flexible multi-format SDI/HD SDI recording system that allows customers to capture footage directly to shared storage, so the media is ready for editing, even while recording. And all this with full interoperability between editing platforms and integrated support for metadata exchange.
