The General Director of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Roberto Sánchez, inaugurated today in Madrid the International Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology, Broadcast IT!.

The audiovisual technology sector once again has a new event at Broadcast, the main trends platform held in Spain where the latest technical advances of an industry that is witnessing a dizzying process of innovation and implementation of different business and distribution models are presented.

The fifteenth edition of the International Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology opened its doors today led by the General Director of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Roberto Sánchez. Broadcast launches a new surname in clear allusion to the IT universe and a renewed stage, taking into account the evolution of the industry it represents, seeking to make the leap from a showcase of products and news to the proposal of solutions and content, while incorporating emerging sectors. All of this, aimed at providing added value to participating companies and professionals, adapting to their needs.

A total of 160 companies - 12% more than in 2009 - meet at this event organized by IFEMA, which has established itself as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences and for the analysis of the reality of a sector that is undergoing a permanent revolution, with the implementation of a multi-device market, the emergence of different business and distribution models; the development of on-demand and personalized television; “3Demanía”, or the fusion of broadcast and IT environments.

Considered the reference fair for the Spanish industry and one of the first in Europe, Broadcast also has the incorporation of some of the most representative entities of the sector, such as the FAPAE employer association, Federation of Associations of Spanish Audiovisual Producers, and the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts, which will be present for the first time at the fair. Likewise, the contest has the presence of some of the most important audiovisual clusters that operate in Spain, which apart from participating in the contest in a joint space, will hold a networking meeting to promote commercial exchanges between the companies that make up them.

Another novelty at the fair will be the 'Training Area', a space where the companies participating in the show will teach courses on new technologies in digital audio and video. Specifically, presentations by Prada Audiovisual are planned, which will show the latest developments from Apple; Autodesk/CICE, Professional School of New Technologies, and Avid Technology, which will teach a course on how to edit faster and easier with Media Composer and Pro Tools.

In this space you will also be able to learn about solutions such as graphic design, editing and presentation software for web production, printing and audiovisual production environments, or the most advanced 2D and 3D design software for the manufacturing, infrastructure, construction, media and entertainment industries, among other proposals.

In parallel to the commercial exhibition, Broadcast 2011 serves as a forum for debate and analysis of the reality of the sector through its Technical Conferences, which bring together a qualified team of professionals, experts in the different subjects to be discussed, and who will address some of the most current issues that are of most concern to the audiovisual technology industry right now. The big news of the intense program of professional conferences will be the generation of content by the audiovisual clusters and the analysis of the different television models in our country.
