NEC Display Solutions has designed a new display model for applications in 24/7 operation, the 46-inch, high-brightness X462HB.

NEC Display Solutions has unveiled the latest addition to its X series, the X462HB professional display. This large-screen, high-brightness monitor has been designed for the rigors of 24/7 operation in a wide variety of applications, including outdoor digital signage, drive-thru menu boards or video walls.

The new X462HB offers quarter lambda polarization film, allowing outdoor viewing of images with polarized sunglasses. This is essential for quick service restaurants to ensure that their customers can easily and clearly read the drive-thru menu with any type of polarized glasses.

The X462HB includes a professional LCD panel with advanced thermal protection and sealed design for the most demanding requirements of the digital signage industry; Full HD 1080p resolution; 1200 cd/m² (typical) brightness and 3500:1 (typical) contrast ratio, enabling vibrant image quality; 320W power consumption (In addition, RS-232C, Ethernet (RJ45), Remote IR and DDC/CI enable automatic email notifications for diagnosis and control of multiple displays; the expansion slot allows for seamless integration of future components; the AmbiBright ambient light sensor makes it possible to automate brightness based on existing lighting conditions; and the control and communication network enables the highest level of remote display management.

The monitor also has TileMatrix technology for video walls with up to 100 screens, a 24/7 programmer with real-time clock and optional accessories including Display Wall Calibrator and SpectraView color calibration kits, stand, wall mount, speakers, single board computers, external PC, IPTV tuner, external TV tuner, DVI daisy chain module and internal HD-SDI card.
