Loewe advances the future of home entertainment
Television manufacturers are testing new designs to advance what the televisions of the future will be. The German company Loewe has developed three models that propose solutions with several screens that include different information.
The German manufacturer Loewe has unveiled three pioneering design studies for the future of home entertainment. Whether it is news, stock quotes, tweets or new YouTube videos, we are faced with the fact that the flow of information increases every day. Simultaneously, the desire to master this multiplicity of information without having to spend all day in front of the computer screen grows.
In the case of the Pivot model, it offers an aesthetic and intelligent base for a standing multimedia system. General and personalized information is clearly presented on a life-size, portrait-format screen. Naturally, during its collection, individual preferences can be taken into account. Simple navigation allows you to highlight and delve deeper into interesting applications at all times.
The rotating television screen, with a 21:9 format - depending on its use - positions itself in a horizontal or vertical position. In this way, the multimedia television, for example, can serve as an office information terminal or as an exclusive home theater system. On the other hand, if the reproduction is made with Screen Art, very special touches are added to the personal atmosphere of the home.
It is especially interesting that if a type of film is selected, Loewe Pivot automatically recognizes the wide screen format and rotates it to adopt the horizontal position. This way you can enjoy the chosen broadcast in all its splendor, whether it is a landscape screen or the Cinemascope format that fills the entire field of vision. At the end of the movie, Pivot returns the screen to the initial vertical position.
In addition to news, images and movies, Pivot is also the perfect framework for video art. On the back of the device, in addition to a Blu-ray reader drive for 3D, an audio projector has also been incorporated that emits impressive sound, offering a unique and complete multimedia solution.
Parallel use of media
The Loewe Module study, on the other hand, highlights the parallel use of media by young people. It is no longer strange to anyone that the son, brother or friend who conquers distant worlds in an online video game while, simultaneously, through the Chat, discusses with his opponents about other games and, in the process, always interrupts his activity to read what they have recently posted on Facebook.
So that all media can be used without interruption, Loewe has planned a modular concept with two screens ideal to cover this scenario. Similar to a cabin structure, the equipment that can be placed on the ground has two screens that are located together and can be used at the same time. While the main screen shows the real content, information related to the context can be consulted on the small secondary screen, in portrait format. Loewe Module thus offers a greater depth of content than previously known and thus acquires greater value for the user. This is equally valid for computer games as well as for programs broadcast on TV: this way, for example, online games can be viewed in video conferences on the opponents' additional screen. If sports programs are broadcast, on the other hand, it is conceivable that the available camera perspectives are displayed on the small screen and can also be selected to appear directly on the main monitor.
Naturally, from the different social networks, comments can also be issued in real time, even written by the user themselves, in relation to the program that is broadcast. The new HbbTV standard has also been integrated, so communication between the Internet and the television becomes especially comfortable.
The third design icon, Loewe Mirror, relies entirely on surprising magical effects. Only when it is in operation does this wall mirror reveal its secrets. The animations flutter soberly over its surface and thus begin to come to life. So, for example, virtual leaves flutter on the wall mirror and while you check whether your evening dress suits you, you can access a flowery time bar that shows the most important events that have occurred since the last time the function was activated.
However, the Loewe Mirror is much more than a high-quality television set or an attractive design object placed in the individual living environment. The study also integrates a pioneering electronic calendar called Timeline. This shows, for example, appointments, as well as notices about video calls made or recordings of broadcasts already ready. A retrospective or a look into the future on the ornately designed Timeline is child's play if you move your hand in the corresponding direction.
Likewise, the user can take particular events and observe them in more detail. Once the Timeline is no longer needed, the Loewe Mirror switches back to ambient mode. Of course, Loewe Mirror can also be used simply as a mirror. In this way, this product brings together applications through an extremely minimalist design and is especially adapted to its incorporation into the living space.
