User dissatisfaction with DTT

The digital television revolution has not been as splendid as predicted. Complaints from users are piling up and dissatisfaction with not being able to watch many of the channels is growing.

On March 30, 2010, the analogue blackout took place in Spain. The change to digital terrestrial television was accompanied by a greater number of channels, more varied content and better image and sound quality (high definition broadcasts).

But not all have been advantages for users since, according to a study by the Association of Communication Users, citizens are not satisfied with DTT. The reasons? The low quality of some content, the continuous repetitions of others and the technical difficulties (tuning, loss and retuning of channels).

The discontent is divided between the inconvenience of installation (relocation of existing channels) and the lack of adequate coverage, as can be seen from this study, especially in rural environments but, surprisingly, also in some areas of large cities.
