Autocue has updated the firmware of its range of video servers, expanding support for new formats, slow motion playback at different speeds and other features for remote operation.

Autocue has introduced new options to its range of video servers by updating its firmware. Among other improvements, support has been expanded to formats such as AVC, XDCAM, DNxHD and ProRes and slow motion playback has been added at a variety of speeds.

Another improvement is the possibility of creating high and low resolution files simultaneously.

Autocue has also introduced improvements to remote control including audio and video preview from any networked PC, playback/editing and delay while recording, and support for VDCP and P9 protocols.

On the other hand, Autocue servers will now have an optional display from which key information on the status of disks, ports, connectivity, CPU usage and available and used capacity will be shown in real time.

These Linux-based servers, which stand out for their ease of use, can be integrated at any point in the workflow by configuring them as a video server or as a fully remote e-VTR. Each server offers two or four bi-directional HD/SD channels, each of which can be instantly switched between playback modes and recording modes. Additionally, from a single user interface, multiple servers can be cascaded under single control.
