Mosaic will significantly increase the speed of debayering RAW images from digital cameras into real time, ensuring maximum image quality and DoP integrity.

the switzerland Marquise Technologies has announced its new debayering engine, Mosaic, which will allow RAW material to be played in real time in 2D and 3D.

Mosaic will significantly increase the speed of debayering RAW images from digital cameras into real time, ensuring maximum image quality and DoP integrity.

Mosaic will support the most popular RAW formats such as ARRIRAW from ARRI Alexa (3K) and D21; Adobe DNG, including Aaton Penelope Delta (4K); Cine Files from Vision Research Phantom Flex and Phantom Gold (from HD to 4K).

Combined with the user interface for managing RAW parameters directly in color correction, Mosaic provides a notable improvement in the processes for creating dailies and grading RAW images.

This represents added value to digital laboratories and post-production companies by being able to have shooting dailies more quickly, in addition to being able to preserve the native quality in the grading of the original images at full speed.

Available in the MIST dailies system and in the RAIN color correction solution, Mosaic allows you to simultaneously carry out the debayer, downsize and playback processes of RAW images in real time.

Mosaic also works with Jazz, the real-time rendering engine available in MIST and RAIN, to send files with full quality DPX or TIFF as well as MXF Avid DNxHD and QuickTime material for editing or visual effects.
