Housed in a single rack unit, it allows bidirectional video transcoding from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4/H.264 and/or H.264 to MPEG-2 all in HD or SD format, as well as ASI and IP transport stream with optional RF interface.

Sencore, a company with half a century in the market, has just launched the new Sencore TXS 3453, a high-performance real-time transcoder capable of delivering multiple channels, transcoding and transrating in both HD and SD at a very competitive price. And all this in a single rack unit.

Housed in a single rack unit, it allows bidirectional video transcoding from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4/H.264 and/or H.264 to MPEG-2 all in HD or SD format, as well as ASI and IP transport stream with optional RF interface. This new proposal from Sencore works with up to 16 channels.

Another novelty from the brand is the new SMD 989 DVB-S2 modulator, which processes up to two independent DVB-S2 RF transmissions, in a single rack unit, supporting transport streams via DVB-ASI or IP inputs and using the UDP or RTP protocols. Also, the SMD can optionally add an upconverter for the L band with output frequencies ranging from 950 to 1250 MHz, supporting all modulation formats defined by the DVB-S2 standard.

During the last NAB it also presented the IR 3000, a decoder receiver for all types of video distribution services that works with RF or MPEGoIP combined with ASI transport stream inputs, while transport stream outputs are available over ASI and MPEGoIP for distribution over digital networks.
