Softel ScheduleSmart: automatic real-time subtitling

Softel presents a sophisticated technology that allows you to simplify and streamline the subtitling workflow, using proprietary heuristic algorithms that determine the optimal point at which titles, subtitles and other complementary data coincide with the content.

ScheduleSmart is Softel's new proposal that introduces unprecedented flexibility in the automatic subtitling of content if there is no time to ingest the data to the media servers or the Digital Asset Management System (DAMS). If the system determines that sooner or later it will not be possible to link the assets, it will do so automatically in real time.

Although titles and subtitles can be linked to assets early in the workflow, before broadcast or during live encoding time, in many cases this is not possible, resulting in costly manual intervention with consequent losses in reliability and efficiency.

These challenges go further in new facilities where the delivery of ancillary data must be coordinated and automated to ensure multi-platform broadcasting, including web and mobile broadcasting.

ScheduleSmart automatiza la selección del método de codificación correcta utilizando Swift Softel VTX para agregar títulos y subtítulos directamente a los activos de media, mientras que Softel Swift TX se encarga de vincularlos. Si hay tiempo suficiente, ScheduleSmart iniciará la ingesta del rótulo y/o el archivo de subtítulos a través de Swift VTX. Si no hay tiempo suficiente, por ejemplo, como ocurre en directos con subtitulados en tiempo real, en este caso el sistema Swift TX se dirige a actuar directamente a la emisión. Todo esto se lleva sin la práctica intervención del usuario forma totalmente automatizada.
