CBS News used Sencore MRD 3187B decoder receivers for remote network coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding last Friday in London. Since April 25, CBS News added live coverage of the wedding from London to its news programs, using the MRD 3187B to provide multiple services for the satellite routes that were transmitted to New York. The Early Show began its daily coverage on Monday from the Tower of London, with a single MRD 3187B encoder and decoder receiver providing a connection source and backup to the CBS News studios in New York via the news network's London office. Since April 27 CBS Evening News, began to include live shots from Westminster Abbey using Sencore technology.

On the day of the wedding, CBS News provided special live coverage of the wedding from Westminster and Buckingham Palace. For coverage of the wedding from the Abbey, CBS used four broadcast channels with MRD 3187B equipment providing the ASI stream to New York for decoding.
