SOI TV launches an interactive channel with wTVision solutions

wTVision has entered Miami with the launch of the television channel Soi TV, Interactive Opinion System, the first and only 100% social channel for Hispanics.

SOI TV It reaches millions of Hispanic households in the United States through an innovative way that allows viewers to interact in real time with programming. They can send their opinion about the news via Facebook, Twitter and through the channel's website.

wTVision has offered a complete service to support the client to build the channel from the beginning, working in coalition with Imagina US, production and playout center.

In this project, wTVision's playout system, Channel Maker, was integrated with Harris' Nexio video server, making this the main source of content.

Streaming data comes from the Broadway Systems traffic system and all signals are switched through the Snell Video Router, including live feeds.

All channel graphics were developed in the Vizrt engine and the matrix is ​​made with Harris IconMaster.

Source management with the matrix and switch is possible thanks to Channel Maker plug-ins for each software and hardware. A configuration “project” that chooses all the relevant drivers and subsequently coordinates each one through commands for each peripheral, all in real time.

Individual tasks for this project included:

• Playlist Management for Nexio
• Input Selection – Snell
• Chart metadata, bugs, tickers, EPGs, OnAir-Next charts, data feed and playout control in Vizrt
• Playout reports for the validation of advertising contracts
• Checking videos on playout servers
• Matrix Configuration Selection in the IconMaster
• Sequencing application for the use of the final operator that allows total and absolute control over the emission

During live and recorded programs, various graphics are placed OnAir with information feeds from Facebook or Twitter, with information updated in real time.

Soi TV broadcasts recorded and live programs, such as the program Opinion, an original format that is based on dialogue with the audience about current topics and news, entertainment programs from all over Latin America, interactive soap operas, among others.

For live programs and live insertions, Soi TV uses Studio CG, a content manager that allows you to edit, manage and control graphics in real time. This very intuitive software allows operators to enter information and launch in real time with great ease. It also allows you to create new templates and forms to create new graphics whenever they are necessary.

Viewers of this channel can watch this channel through the online live stream or through their television.
