WTvision: spectacular graphics on RTP, TVI and Porto Canal in the Portuguese elections

WTvision offers its real-time graphics services for coverage of the elections in Portugal to RTP, TVI and Porto Canal.

The Portuguese broadcasters RTP (with programming relocated between RTP1, RTP Açores and RTP Madeira), the private TVI and Porto Canal have entrusted WTvision solutions to give greater spectacularity to the monitoring of the data on the last election night in Portugal.

WTVision has thus once again been responsible for the graphics of the electoral programs on the occasion of the Portuguese legislative elections on September 27. Mediapro's subsidiary in Portugal was in charge of integrating all the data from the Direcção-Geral da Administração Interna (DGAI), transforming them into graphics and integrating them into the broadcast systems of RTP, TVI and Porto Canal.

On this occasion the big bet was the interactivity of the broadcast in the public RTP. The solution developed by WTVision allowed the presenter to navigate between countless contents through a giant touch screen that offered real-time results and comparisons with previous calls and by province. WTvision also developed another system so that on another touch screen the presenter could manage all the live connections with different points in the Portuguese geography. Another innovative component was the use of an interactive simulator of possible parliamentary majorities, with the aim of carrying out analysis and scenarios between various hypotheses as the first results fell.

For its part, Porto Canal, with the help of WTvision, launched interesting 3D applications, while TVI opted for an innovative model with great spectacularity based on four different creative projects. Using a plasma wall, the results, color maps and a reproduction of the parliament were presented, allowing the presenter and the different guests to carry out a truly spectacular political analysis. A 3D virtual simulator of the Assembly of the Republic offered projections of results in real time. The solution developed by WTvision allowed TVI to also present electoral data in the form of tickers and leads through a dynamically generated playlist.
