wTVision developed graphic solutions for four television channels in Portugal for the election night of June 5 with a notable deployment in RTP, TVI, RTP Madeira and Porto Canal. For the first time in Portugal, TVI used a human interaction device (HITUI).

The television channels RTP, TVI, RTP Madeira and Porto Canal presented their viewers with special election programs with a wide range of interactive graphics functionalities, with full screen graphics, tickers, augmented reality, virtual scenery and integration with social networks (Facebook and Twitter) in which technology played a prominent role. wTVision.

RTP had a production based on interactivity and augmented reality, presenting electoral data through virtual graphics. The iPad device allowed the presenter to have control of the presentation that the viewer viewed from home. The LED wall, also controlled by iPad, helped the presenter with the electoral graphics, allowing them to also be presented in full screen. All the technology was developed for a spectacular staging, made up of various elements, among which stood out a suspended cylinder, which showed the projections and results along with photos of the candidates and an LED wall in which the new deputies were presented. A new iPad application, created by wTVision, was offered by RTP to its viewers, allowing device owners to see the election results in real time. To see the RTP project click here.

TVI's main innovation was the use, for the first time in Portugal, of a human interaction device (HITUI – Human Interaction Technology and User Interface) in virtual scenery, with the use of an iPad to control a virtual parliament, where the different representation scenarios of the parties from 1975 to the present day, as well as parliamentary projections and simulations, were presented. An LED wall controlled by a touch screen, full screen paintings and a ticker with projections and results complemented the broadcast. The project also had various analyzes of electoral data such as: coalition results, losses and gains of seats, local results with higher and lower votes, and evolution of results, among others. Porto Canal presented the electoral data through full screen tables containing the projections of the 3 largest Portuguese national channels, and an electoral map with the colors of the winning parties.

Vodafone has provided its audience with an interactive application for its Vodafone TV service, developed by wTVision, offering direct access, in real time, to the election results.

wTVision's Elections CG product is a customizable software that responds to all the needs of a special election program, integrating data in real time and using the latest technology.

wTVision has already managed graphics projects for more than 50 special election programs, integrating and developing the most modern technologies at the service of infographics on television, in various countries.
